For Diskeeper 6.0 to 7.0 (for later versions, navigate back and select the correct version of Diskeeper in the Common Issues section): At times it appears that schedules are not running when they are supposed to or when they do run it is not a scheduled time. In many instances the settings of the schedule can be checked by going into the Diskeeper interface, selecting Set It and Forget it and viewing the schedule that has been set. Then the schedule you just viewed can be checked against the Schedule file on the system by going into the \Program Files\Executive Software\Diskeeper and opening the Diskeeper.CTL file through notepad (if a prompt comes up, use select program from list and then scroll down the list and choose notepad. Now, the way the schedule is formatted appears unclear. If you scroll through the file, you can tell if the setting matches the time specified within the Diskeeper interface. If it does not match up please email our support team with the file as an attachment at tech_suppport@executive.com, please do mention that you followed the steps within the Common issues section for scheduling and are still running into issues. Please do not make changes to schedule files, simply close and exit without saving changes. Here is some more information on scheduling. Please do note that more detailed scheduling topics can be found within the online Help within Diskeeper or by downloading a manual in PDF format by clicking the Product Manual link within our web site Open Diskeeper and click the Action menu, then click Set It And Forget It. Highlight the partition you want to schedule and set the schedule parameters. Remember that "When" modifies "Run", and "Between" and "and" modify "When". Then click the Set button. At this point the partition should have “Scheduled” next to it. Click the Close button. For example, if you want Diskeeper to run every weekday between midnight and 1 AM, you would set Diskeeper would run at midnight, then reschedule to run 2 hours after it finishes, but that would be after 2 AM so the time would advance to the next midnight. You might think this would give you the same schedule: Run: Every 2 hours But "When" modifies "Run", and "Between" and "and" modify "When", so this schedule would say "Run every two hours, except between midnight and 1 AM on weekends". If this does not resolve the issue please email our support team at tech_suppport@executive.com, please do mention that you followed the steps within the Common issues section for scheduling and are still running into issues. Please include any screen captures of what your encountering along with the complete information on how you arrived at your issue.
