Question

Network Schedule Feature- Diskeeper 7.0 Server fails to send the schedule.

Answer

Using Diskeeper 7.0 Server on any operating system and the fully licenced version on Windows NT 4.0 causes the Network Schedule interface to fail to send the set schedule to the target system. This issue is corrected in Diskeeper 8.0. As a workaround in 7.0, you can alter the following registry key which will handle the issue:

1. From the Start menu, select Run and type in: regedit
2. From within the registry, double click: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
3. From the resulting selections, double click: SOFTWARE
4. From the resulting selections, double click: Executive Software
5. From the resulting selections, double click: Diskeeper
6. From the resulting selections, single click: Server Entries
7. From the right pane of the display, double click: MachineListDir
8. From the resulting Edit String window, change the final directory entry from NetScheduler to Scheduler

This alteration will allow the Network Schedule functionality to work correctly.
