On my new system, Diskeeper says I have a negative figure available for defragmentation and half of my NTFS partition shows the green and white stripes representing Reserved system space. What's up?

We have received reports of new systems delivered to customers with this setting in place. Here is how to fix it: Run Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe), and go to the following subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\ Control\FileSystem. In the right pane, double-click NtfsMftZoneReservation. In the DWORD Editor window that appears, change the 4 to a 1. Click OK. Reboot your system. The company that produced your machine actually needed to create this entry. It does not appear in any current Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack.
