The issue being encountered is related to a modification that was made to Diskeeper’s DCOM settings to allow Diskeeper to be controlled from a remote system through Terminal Services. If you wish to control a pre-7.0.4xx version from a post-7.0.4xx version and DO NOT need to run Diskeeper remotely using Terminal Services you can make the following alteration to support that configuration. This will disable Diskeeper’s ability to be run from a remote system through Terminal Services. On Windows NT 4.0 & Windows 2000: 1. Select the Start button and Run… On Windows XP: 1. Select the Start button and Run… This will allow Diskeeper Server post 7.0.4xx to connect to Diskeeper Server or Diskeeper Workstation pre-7.0.4xx .
