| ScanNtfs - Scan aborted. Fatal error - File. |

Usually this indicates there is a disk error on your hard disk drive. Please run chkdsk/f to fix the errors on the disk. If chkdsk cannot find it, run chkdsk/r on the problem partition. That should correct the error. If chkdsk itself aborts or hangs when it reaches the bad block (but ONLY if chkdsk aborts or hangs), it indicates a disk problem which chkdsk can't handle, and which will likely cause more trouble in the future. You should then back up the partition and reformat it to clean this up. If you are running Windows NT Service Pack 4, upgrade to at least Service Pack 5; this is because of a chkdsk/r error in Service Pack 4. If you are running Windows 95/98/ME, run Scandisk using the thorough option.
