Diskeeper 7.0 and later detects when a Windows Snapshot (Not CDP snapshot) is enabled on a partition and pauses any Diskeeper job running. Diskeeper will not run on the partition until Windows Snapshot is disabled on the volume. The shadow copy driver cannot distinguish between legitimate changes and defragment related file changes. Therefore when a defragment occurs and moves files, those files are "shadowed". Since only up to 64 shadows can be maintained, defragmenting can cause valuable information to be replaced by "unmodified" files (only moved not really changed). We are currently working with Microsoft to handle this in a future release of the software.
